FOSDEM Community DevRoom
Last year Leslie Hawthorn and I submitted a proposal to run a Community Dev room at FOSDEM as we both believe the topic of community, management, advice and open source is still a topic people want to discuss and share best practices with others. We were fortunate to get our room accepted! Not being sure how many talks we’d get we asked for one day room! We’ll know better for next year that’s for sure.
We had 65 talk submissions and having to short list them for one room was no easy task and I was very happy to have the help and advice from:
There were so many great talks but we did try to have a variety of talks, some speakers submitted more than 1 talk and we set it to one talk per person. Another way to increase the number of talks for people to hear was to set all talks to 30 mins and 5 mins Q&A even though some of the talks said 1hr.
When: Sunday 5th February
Where: Building AW Room 1.124
We hope to see you in the room at FOSDEM! If your talk didn’t get accepted, please do come along, share the room with your friends and perhaps bring your talk up as a corridor topic with those in the room or over lunch with someone!
